I had the great pleasure of getting to photograph some of the girls of the Paper Valley Roller Girls today. Wow do these girls have energy and talent.
Warm-ups before practice.

We even had a little time for some impromptu portraits.

Then it’s back to the track.

If you would like to see some more derby girls practice session shots, you can check out more here.
Otherwise stay tuned as I continue to shoot for them throughout the season.

Being a true child of the 80’s, I had to clear my schedule for Thursday night and go and see the new Indiana Jones flick. I think they did a real good job with the cinematography and technical aspects, however I am not a big sci-fi fan and I felt that it was a bit to sci-fi for me. I do appreciate sticking to the 50’s era and working the aliens (No, I didn’t really spoil the plot there) into the movie. I mean, the 50’s were all about Greasers, Preps, Commies, Sen. Joe McCarthy, A-bombs, UFO’s, and Government cover-ups. I feel that the plot stayed true to that feeling, I just don’t care for sci-fi.
And of course, there are the few, the proud, and the brave that venture out on grand opening night dressed as their favorite character. This was the best Indy Imitator that was at the theater last night. Not the best I’ve seen, but not bad for A-town.
